Results of AY 2020 First Semester Questionnaire about Online Courses

Following the implementation of online courses in the first semester of AY 2020, Kyoto University has conducted a questionnaire survey to grasp the current situation and challenges of online courses, as well as to develop strategies and to reinforce support for the second semester. The results are summarized here.

■ Survey design: CPEHE Educational Assessment Office / IIMC
■ Survey method: Online survey (Japanese, English)
■ Implementation: notices were given to first semester teachers via KULASIS

■ Target:
  First Semester Teachers:1,775
  Breakdown:full-time 1,472, part-time 303

■ Number of valid respondents (response rate):
  Overall:1,182 (66.6%)
  Breakdown:full-time 927 (63.0% for overall target / 78.4% for valid respondents)
         part-time 255 (84.5% for overall target / 21.6% for valid respondents)
