KoALA (Kyoto University Online for Augmented Learning Activities) is Kyoto University's SPOC (Small Private Online Courses) platform, an online learning environment offering lectures and materials, launched in 2018. There are many different advantages of using SPOC, and KoALA is one of the pioneering instances of SPOC in Japan.
